You are God's blessed
Today's Meditation: Genesis 26:29.
“... Thou art now the blessed of the LORD.”
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY: Genesis 26:28-29
28. And they said, We saw certainly that the LORD was with thee: and we said, Let there be now an oath betwixt us, even betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee;
29. That thou wilt do us no hurt, as we have not touched thee, and as we have done unto thee nothing but good, and have sent thee away in peace: thou art now the blessed of the LORD.
Abimelech and his company saw that the LORD was with Isaac and said unto him that they would make a covenant with him. They testified of Isaac saying that he was the blessed of the LORD. Is it not a good testimony for Isaac? How about you, dear friend? Do your relatives and people around you call you as the blessed of the LORD? Will you analyse your life and see whether you are worthy enough to be called as God’s blessed? Seeing God’s blessing in Isaac’s life, they wanted to make a covenant with him. If you want the people around you to be at peace with you, you should find favour in the sight of God. Unless you lead a righteous life, you cannot find favour in the sight of God.
Everything points out to how you live your life. When one leads a wicked life God cannot call him as His own or blessed of Him. Today the LORD calls you a blessed person. He wants the people to look at you and say about your life that you are blessed of the LORD.
It is your testimony that counts much in these last days. You have only two eyes but you have several eyes around you who will either testify about you as God’s blessed one or as an instrument of the wicked. I pray today that all of you will be called “the blessed of the LORD.”
Prayer: LORD, let my testimony be a blessing for others. Amen.
Thought: The blessed of God exhibitGod in their lives.
