TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him." John 14:6,7
TODAY'S TOUGH QUESTION:
I have a friend who says he is a Christian, but is very liberal and doesn't seem to really "get it." How can I help him understand true Christianity?
The first thing you need to do is to pray for him. Then you can have a loving talk with him, and you should be sure that you emphasize that Christianity is a relationship, not a religion. Christianity is not just a set of rules or laws we must follow; it is a personal relationship with the living Lord of the universe. This is the most important truth you will want to leave him with, as this is a key ingredient of Christianity. Point out how a personal relationship with Jesus provides all the strength needed to deal with life's harsh realities. Inform him that if he really wants to experience the love of God, the place to begin is a close and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. One of the best ways to make this a strong point is to tell him about your relationship with Jesus. Good luck, but do remember it is God who will ready his heart to receive the truth, and it will be in His perfect timing.
TODAY'S MIRACLE:
Jesus stops a funeral procession and raises from the dead a widow's only son. Luke 7:11-17
TODAY'S EXAMPLE OF GOD'S LOVE:

TODAY'S PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, thank you for this day you have given us. Thank you for all of the beauty you have surrounded us with. Thank you Father, for your never changing nature. Thank you for desiring a personal relationship with each one of us. Father God, we consider ourselves unworthy of your attention, yet you know us intimately. You know every hair on our heads and every thought we have, even before we have it. Dear gracious God, we thank you for our salvation. Thank you for providing a way for us to spend eternity with you in paradise. What a gracious gift. Father, we ask that you make us good witnesses for Christ. Empower us Father, that we might have the courage to share the gospel with those you put in our path. We cannot do it short of your power Father, so we ask you pour it out on us. We want to do your bidding. For your honor and glory Father, not ours. We pray all in the name of Christ. Amen
