Mark 6

THE TRUE REALITY OF JESUS

and

HIS CHARACTERISTICS

Herod was selfish, a murderer, immoral, a political opportunist and king over a small territory

JESUS was COMPASSIONATE, A HEALER, JUST and GOOD, A SERVANT REACHING OUT TO ALL and KING OVER ALL CREATION

Jesus was rejected at Nazareth his hometown

but

His disciples followed him and Jesus delegated His own power to the twelve giving them instructions concerning provisions and concerning public acceptance or rejection

Mark 6:7-13

The apostles were to treat those who rejected their message as though they were pagans shaking even the dust from off their feet

REPENTANCE LAYS THE GROUND WORK FOR TRUE FULFILLMENT IN CHRIST

Mark 6:12

Jesus withdrew with His disciples from the crowds in order to rest, to avoid the hostility of the Jewish religious leaders and the jealousy of Herod and to teach them in solitude

Mark 6:31

DO WE TAKE THE TIME TO CONNECT WITH CHRIST HAVING A TEACHABLE ATTITUDE THAT SO DESIRES TO CONNECT AND INTERACT IN A GREATER WAY WITH THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Doing the work of God is very important but Jesus also recognized that to do it effectively we need those times of rest and renewal

Jesus was moved with compassion knowing that those without a true leader were helpless and also in a state of bewilderment.

Jesus reached out to teach and so enlighten them and so he does today to all who hunger and thirst for that which He would reveal and so unfold

Mark 6:34

As He fed five thousand He reaches out today to whosoever.

JESUS COMPASSION

was always obvious to those desperate to so experience that which He alone could so provide.

JESUS ALWAYS RELIED ON HIS FATHER FOR THE MIRACLE THAT WOULD MEET THE NEEDS OF THE PEOPLE

Mark 6:41

Whatever the situations in life jesus comes forth to bid us to be of good cheer knowing he is on the scene

The disciples in a state of fear are unable to apply Christ’s all sufficiency to their own need but Jesus reached forth as He does today to bring peace and a calmness amidst the storms of life

Mark 6:45-52

JESUS PRESENCE CALMS THE FEARS AND TIMES OF UNCERTAINTY.

REST ASSURED THAT CHRIST’S PRESENCE IS THE ANTIDOTE FOR ANY TYPE OF ANXIETY OR FEAR

The touch of JESUS releases that which is needed

and as we so draw nigh to encounter

JESUS OURSELVES

we experience that which He alone can accomplish and so bring to pass that we can be restored and walk anew with Christ

Mark 6:56

JESUS THE SON OF GOD BIDS US TO BELIEVE AND SO RESPOND AND SO DISCOVER HIS PURPOSE AND THAT HE HAS ULTIMATE AUTHORITY OVER ALL THE SITUATIONS OF LIFE

TAKE COURAGE

and

TRUST

that

HE IS WITH YOU

JESUS was COMPASSIONATE, A HEALER, JUST and GOOD, A SERVANT REACHING OUT TO ALL and KING OVER ALL CREATION

and

IS THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER
