Thankful Heart

Today's Meditation: I Chronicles 16:34.

“O give thanks unto the LORD; for He is good”

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY: I Chronicles 16:32-34

32. Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.

33. Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because he cometh to judge the earth.

34. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.

Praising God is a gift given to everyone. A grateful heart utilises this gift and praises the Creator but a heart without any gratitude will not praise God the Creator. Sunday after Sunday you go to church. How do you give glory to God? In what way do you express your true love for God? You must utilise the gift of life and your calling as a child of God by praising Him and by being thankful to Him for the LORD your God is a good God and His mercy endureth forever.

Thank God today because once you were in this world steeped in worldly pleasures and attributes of sin but now God has called you and separated you. He has made you clean in His sight. The blessing God has given to you in knowing His name is the greatest gift for you whereas thousands around you do not know who God is and they do not know the attributes of God. You are God’s own.

Today, dear friend, remember to give thanks unto God for all the blessings showered on you for He is good and give thanks to God for His mercy for which He has called you to be in His Kingdom. Your LORD Jesus is waiting for you in His holy sanctuary so that you may offer your thanks unto His Name. Open your mouth wide that God may fill it with praises. A life full of praises and thanksgiving is what God expects from His children.

Prayer: LORD, changemy heart into a thankful heart. Amen.
