Problems will vanish

Today's Meditation: Joshua 4:7.

“... the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD”

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY: Joshua 4:6-8

6. That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones?

7. Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.

8. And the children of Israel did so as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of Jordan, as the LORD spake unto Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them unto the place where they lodged, and laid them down there.

The waters of Jordan were cut off and the people passed over right against Jericho. Before the ark of the covenant of the Lord the overflowing Jordan could not prevent the children of Israel from entering and capturing the city of Jericho that was before them. When the soles of the feet of the priests that bore the ark of the LORD rested in the waters of Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off from the waters that came down from above and they stood in a heap.

The same thing the LORD wants to do in your life. When you have Jesus in you and bear Him in your heart, obeying the covenant of God, nothing can stand before you. The problem of Jordan may stand before you to discourage you. It may seem impossible to go to the next step of blessing and achieve success but fear not, you should only have Jesus in you and if you follow Him with all your heart, mind and soul, the problems that come like a heap will vanish and the waters have to divide before you so that you will be able to walk through and conquer the blessings set before you.

Do not look at your problems or your situation and get discouraged but be strong and remain as God’s witness and bear Jesus in your heart. Every promise you will realise and shine for God. God will give you the strength to face every problem. Victory is yours.

Prayer: LORD,  Help me to bear Thee inmy heart always. Amen.

Thought: No overflowing Jordan can obstruct a true believer.
