It was not quite 2 weeks ago that our dear sister Gayla was taken to a hospital in Tennessee. She had suffered a major brain hemorrhage. The Doctor’s said that if she recovered from the condition she would basically be a vegetable. They said that she would not be able to see, hear or speak. She would most likely be completely paralyzed and have no quality of life. Father proved them wrong!

Thank you all who have been praying for her. Gayla came out of the coma, I think that it was the next day! Immediately she could hear, see and speak. She recognized those around her.  She is weak right now, of course, and will need physical therapy to regain 'muscle memory' but she is by no means paralyzed. She began eating solid food 2 days ago (jello etc.) and has begun physical therapy. Many on the medical staff are calling it a miracle.

I spoke to Gayla on the phone this morning. Her voice is strong and her mind is sharp. She answered the phone herself and held it with no assistance. We prayed together and I was able to get her to laugh.

She thanks you  for your prayers. I would like to thank Vickie Warren and Lilly Sutton for calling me regularly with updates and for prayer. They are both very close to Gayla and have been a tremendous source of encouragement to her. Vickie is not able to visit Gayla regularly because she lives a great distance away but has been in close touch with her family. Vickie lives a short distance from the hospital and has been able to visit Gayla, sometimes several times per day.

Please continue to pray and claim a complete healing including for the medical conditions that she had prior to this attack. Father knows all of the details.
