MISSIONS is not a Biblical Word?? (Devotional 66 of 365)


Missions is NOT a Biblical Word right??

Missions = “Noun, a group or committee of persons sent to a foreign country
to conduct negotiations, establish relations, provide scientific and technical assistance, or the like.”


Matthew 28:17-20
“When they saw HIM, they worshiped HIM—but some of them doubted!!”
Jesus came and told His disciples, “I have been given ALL authority in heaven and on earth.
Therefore, GO and make disciples of ALL the nations, BAPTIZING them in the name of the Father
and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have
given you. And be SURE of this: I am WITH you always, even to the end of the age.”

Mark 16: 14-16
“Still later HE appeared to the eleven disciples as they were eating together.
HE rebuked them for their stubborn unbelief because they refused to believe those who
had seen HIM after HE had been raised from the dead. And then HE told them,
“GO into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Anyone who believes and
is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.”

Luke 24: 44-49
Then HE said, “When I was with you before, I told you that everything written about ME
in the law of Moses and the prophets and in the Psalms must be fulfilled.” Then HE opened
their minds to understand the Scriptures. And HE said, “Yes, it was written long ago that
the Messiah would suffer and die and rise from the dead on the third day. It was also written
that this MESSAGE would be proclaimed in the authority of His Name to ALL the nations,
beginning in Jerusalem: ‘There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’
You are witnesses of all these things.” “And now I will send the Holy Spirit,
just as my Father promised. But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes
and fills you with POWER from heaven.”

John 20: 19-21
That Sunday evening the disciples were meeting behind locked doors because
they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among them!
“Peace be with you,” HE said. As HE spoke, He showed them the wounds in His hands and His side.
They were filled with joy when they saw the Lord! Again HE said,
“Peace be with you. As the Father has SENT Me, so I am SENDING you.”


This is Biblical MISSIONS right??

Disciples of CHRIST with the Authority and Power of God that are SENT by Jesus
to teach, to disciple and to baptize other disciples in other countries for the purpose
of continuing the Ministry started by the Father through His only Son Jesus … right??


Do you have His mission MARKS on your hands??

CHRISTians should be involved in Missions … period … right??

YOU are either in the MISSIONS PIT holding onto a rope or YOU are the person
holding the rope to lower the person into the MISSIONS PIT.
Either way … BOTH people have the rope burns on their hands (His MARKS) …
oooohh the JOY of the Love Sacrafice and truly Living LIFE to the FULL – amen.

MISSIONS is not about being disciplined, commitment, doing a schedule,
starting a program, being in an organization and being accountable to an institution.

MISSIOINS is about KNOWING your Creator, experiencing His CRAZY Love intimately
& personally and then looking at a Nation of People … Crying UN-controllably for their SOULS
because an unbelievable PASSION fills your heart … COMPELS you to Divinely LOVE … period.


Please look at Matthew 6: 19-21 … Please HOLD the Rope & give us your HEART in Missions …
we need & want your HEART here in South Thailand or any other place in this crazy world - amen.


I will end with the Loving Words of John the Beloved Disciple of Jesus.
So many Christians today are consumed by Materialism, the World’s Ways & SELF … period.
Ooooppss … you caught me … being too honest … I do love you … right??

1 John 2: 15-17
“Do NOT love the world or anything in the world. (Period … US America Christians??)
If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is NOT in him. For EVERYTHIG in the world—
the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he HAS and Does—
comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man
who DOES the WILL of God lives forever.”

The WILL of God is to KNOW … be in an Intimate Relationship with God and His Family.
Then we all will just DO Missions Work as a natural PASSION Response to that … right??
