Gunman Kills 12, Injures 58 in Denver Theater · July 23, 2012
A gunman wearing a gas mask opened fire in a theater near Denver, Colorado early Friday killing 12 people and injuring at least 58 others.”
Witnesses said the man released a canister of gas about 12:30 a.m., then began shooting. The FBI said there is no indication that the shooting has any connection to terrorism.

Officers later found the gunman (in his 20s) near a car behind the theater with more guns and masks. At least 24 people were being treated at Denver area hospitals, some for chemical exposure related to the canister.
