                                                           Everlasting covenant

Today's Meditation: Jeremiah 32:40.

“... I will make an everlasting covenant... to do them good”

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY: Jeremiah 32:39-41

39. And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:

40. And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.

41. Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.

The LORD is pleased to call you as His people and He delights in calling Himself your God. He says today that He will make an everlasting covenant with you, and He will not turn away from doing good for you. He says He will put His fear in your heart so that you will not depart from Him. So many things the LORD does for you. Are you not happy today that you serve such a loving God who completes His blessings for you? He Himself does good to you and also puts His fear in your heart and then He blesses you.

Dear child of God, what will you do for this great God who has made this covenant with you? Will you love Him constantly? Will you be faithful to Him? Will you do what He says? The LORD searches you and checks to see how genuine your love is towards Him. Prove to the LORD the genuineness of your love. Be zealous for your God that He may render unto you many blessings so that the world may see that you are His child and He is your God.

When He makes a covenant with you, He always fulfills the covenant that you may shine only for God. The LORD who led you thus far these six months, will lead you also in the coming months and years because He has made an everlasting covenant with you and that will be forever, that is, till He comes to take you to be with Him.

Prayer: LORD, I thank Thee for the everlasting covenant. Amen.
