Be diligent to love God

Today's Meditation: Joshua 23:11.

“Take good heed... that ye love the LORD your God”

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY: Joshua 23:9-11

9. For the LORD hath driven out from before you great nations and strong: but as for you, no man hath been able to stand before you unto this day.

10. One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you.

11. Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love the LORD your God.

Joshua, the servant of Moses, after winning battles for the LORD, and fighting for His children, gave them a farewell address. He said to them to be diligent to love the LORD God of Israel. Joshua knew how he was able to achieve success and conquer the enemies that were mightier than them. Because the LORD fought for them they were able to conquer them. The LORD fought for them because they obeyed God.

In your life when you love the LORD diligently and ser ve Him sincerely, whatever you ask in His name He is able to bless you with, exceeding abundantly above what you ask or think of. Take the advice of God’s servant Joshua, today in your life. Then you will see the Red Sea and the Jordan dividing into two and you can walk through them safely. What do you wish to have in your life? Do you want to be a blessing and achieve blessings or do you want to be a loser? The choice is yours.

Today kneel down and look up to God and say unto Him, “LORD, have mercy upon me, I will obey you sincerely and follow your Word, help me to be a conqueror, and let the forces of evil around me be defeated.” Obey the LORD implicitly and love Him with all your heart. The LORD will grant your request and you shall be blessed.

Prayer: LORD, helpme to diligently followThee. Amen.

Thought: Follow diligently and conquer the enemy.
