Man send from God

Today's Meditation: John 1:6.

“There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.”

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY: John 1:1-7

1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2. The same was in the beginning with God.

3. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

6. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

7. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

This is a sad day in my life as I (Rev Dr. Samuel Sudhakar - Author of My Daily Strength) lost my beloved Brother, my mentor, my spiritual father, and the prophet of the century, Rev. Dr. John Joseph whom the LORD took away from me to be with Him. It is because of his prayers and blessings for me, today that I am able to write this page in “My Daily Strength”.

God by predestination called him as John and truly he was a man sent from God. He led a life that pleased God and he bore the mark of Christ in his body. Just as John the Baptist was the forerunner of Christ, this John of this present generation was preparing souls for the secret coming of Christ. The LORD gave him a ministry to make ready a people prepared for the LORD. While Rev. Dr. John Joseph was on this earth, he preached only God’s Word and never deviated from the high calling of God in his life. He lived till his last breath for the purpose for which he was called. Though he is dead and has gone to be with his Master, yet God’s Word revealed through him still speaks. He enabled millions to taste the love of God. He toiled day and night to bring back the backsliden souls and the perishing souls to the fold of Christ.

Maybe God has called you with His high calling for a definite purpose. See that your only motive and goal is to stand for God and to win souls for Christ’s Kingdom.

Prayer: LORD, giveme grace to fulfill Your commission inme. Amen.
