O Lord, how much of this reality
has no earthly bindings on me?
Help to shape my perception,
regarding the things, that I see.
As an intelligent person,
it’s obvious to avoid indifference
and fear, especially when there is…
a clear choice with a sure preference.
Although the future is unknown,
there's a proven solution to help one cope.
The guidance of the Scriptures…

This is something that has been put on my heart for this area, and was shared a small group discussion that we hold here every Monday night, but will fit in what ever town, state or nation, if we apply these principles. I pray that someone would grab a hold of this and run with it, for God's Glory.
Romans 13:8-11 KJV Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. (9) For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou…

The rapture question? First let's dispose of the question about the word 'rapture', is it in the Bible, No, not the word that is, but is there a 'rapture' in the Bible, Yes, what then is the description, 'Catching away'. Prove it! Many ministers have the similar problem of not proving what they assert to be the truth, and for them that is ok, but just as sin likes to incorporate…

Hi All,
The message last weekend at my church was from Acts 15:1-20 and titled “The Church Lost Its Way”. The early church grew and there were some growing pains as they struggled with whom should be accepted in. They were lost in who God intended the church to be for and what came first; the law or grace.
One example…

I am using the King James Version for this part of the study. This version contains the Strong Numbers for the Greek language. For those of you who can afford good computer program, this particular program is WORDSEARCH 9. This program has its own website under the same name. At the end of this study, I will give websites that can give you the language information free. Let's take a look at the original language as revealed from this version (KJV).

“And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power” (Luke 4:32).
Everything Jesus said was infused with burden-removing, yoke-destroying power. You have the same ability to release power when you speak.

Now that people are becoming more aware of my poetic efforts, interests are being expressed regarding the background of my poetry - in addition, to my spiritual muse. Back in the Spring of 1980, I graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a B.A. in Mathematics. I chose this discipline because it was my favorite subject in school. This poem is the first and only piece (to date), where I apply this learned knowledge.
Back in February of 2007, I found a poetry contest - its…

Now that people are becoming more aware of my poetic efforts, interests are being expressed regarding the background of my poetry - in addition, to my spiritual muse. In this installment, I briefly look at the crucifixion of Christ - an event central to the core beliefs of Christianity. This poem was composed in February 2007, in anticipation of that year's celebration of Resurrection Sunday (Easter).
If I were relegated to a single television channel, it would be the "History…

The body of Christ is so broken, fragmented into so many denominations. I don't believe God meant for this. There is but one church, one body. Even the same denomination has different beliefs from church to church, town to town. I got used to doing research when I was editing our churches news mag. and so I still research when I'm not sure about or wonder about things. I went to our churches pastors website and did some reading. Yes, the fact that preachers in the sames denomination differs…

January has been a rather unusual month here . One of those those is that one of our church members at Stoney Creek Church of Christ and a good friend of mine,Paul, is in the hospital with bleeding in his brain after a serious car accident. The Doctors suspect he may have had a stroke. I humbly request your prayers for Paul and for his wife who anxiously waits by his bedside.

IT’S TIME
I pray for the day almighty God that Your Son, Jesus Christ will grace our sky that He will scatter the seeds of love and that on fertile ground they will fall.
Let it be so Lord that His footprints lead His followers to new heights where their souls can flourish and never die.
From early sun, until darkness fills the sky may He walk among His sheep and guard them from the evil eye.
Hold us Lord close to Your side, shelter us so there we may feed on…
