Gear Up For Prayer

Hi Everyone,

The sermon this past weekend from Pastor Steve is titled “Gear Up for Prayer”.  A few thoughts from the passage are that we should gear up for prayer by expecting to be inspired and expecting guidance. God will meet us and prepare us for His purpose. He will make the changes so that His purpose is carried out.

Here is a link to the Podcast player to be used as a tool to find thoughts to share with others:  …

They are in crisis, we are in Christ

It is very common to hear nowadays speak of a crisis.

Crisis of values, concepts, principles, ideologies, economics, politics, religion, culture.

It seems that the world has entered a chaotic process, runaway and can no longer give a satisfactory explanation for the entanglement of general of life

Principalmente the older people, who formed their heads and ideas in previous decades.

They speak with more emphasis this crisis, say that today the world is broken up and…

To All my Friends and Students of the Word

I decided to study the gospel of Matthew verse by verse.  I know--the first chapter is Jesus' genealogy.  Wow did I find some things that I did not know before!  Did you know that some names--lineages were skipped because they were cursed by God in the OT?  If they had been included in Jesus' ancestry, He would not have come into the world pure!

That  is something that I will never forget!

Did Angels have intimate relations with women (Gen 6)

I wanted to share this with you about Genesis chapter 6 beginning with verse 1 when it talks about the Heavenly Beings, and they took the women that were being born. Some Christians believe that these are fallen angels having intmate relations with women. This is a common misunderstanding

It says in Genesis 6 verse 1, ‘Now it came to pass when men began to multiply on the face of the earth and daughters were born to them, that the Sons of God saw the daughters of men that they…

Summary Of The Eight Doctrines

1. Regeneration A changed nature. The believer is no longer a child of wrath but is literally born into God's family and given Christ's nature.

Sermon Podcast and Devotional

Hi Everyone,

The sermon this past weekend from Pastor Steve is titled “Becoming What We Were meant to Be”. A point made in the message is that unity of faith in Christ is the strongest force within the church because God is always with us and with Him are unlimited resources. Becoming what the church was meant to be requires Christians practicing their faith and reflecting Christ in their life.  Here is a link to the Podcast player:  …

Missing in Action

Today is the first day that I am actually out of bed!  My hip and knee have been bothering me since I fell 2x on it.  Finally able to get out of bed and use my walker.

Although I have been on bed rest, and I continue to be on short bed rests, the Lord has been speaking to me as a writer/researcher.  I have much to share with you, but please be patient with me.  I have…

Walk with HIM

“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” (John 8:12).

Following Jesus means walking in the light. You will always be on the winning side of life when you follow the Lord.

Poem: Chronic Indecision

Going my own selfish way,

based on the ignorance

of my false understanding,

leads directly to my downfall.

For chronic indecision

counteracts God's divine help,

as I traverse the narrow path -

Walking boldly and tall.

My Salvation is not achieved

by what I do or go through -

For I'm mindful of His Guidance

to accomplish a role that is small.

I desire to live a life of Faith

that is visible for any to see;

as… Continue

Poem: Come Forth!

In the quiet town of Bethany

lived two sisters and one brother;

they were Mary, Martha and Lazarus -

people deeply loved by Christ, as none other.

Unexpectedly, Lazarus fell terminally sick;

begging that He not tarry and be late,

multiple messages were urgently sent

forgetting that we upon the Lord must wait.

To justify feelings of utmost despair

the sisters individually met the Christ

with their piercing hollow stares

resulting… Continue

Should we go for perfection?

About Perfectionism

(by Bill Stevenson, 4/28 & 30/05)

I am sure you know what perfectionism means.  In what forms can it be obtained or nearly accomplished by human beings?  Have you scored 100% right on a test or quiz in school?  Have you seen a gymnast or diving board athlete do what seemed to you a flawless performance in an event?  Have you read a book (other than the Bible) that seemed perfect…

Leave IT To HIM

“Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you” (2 Thessalonians 1:6).

God is more than capable of handling your enemies. Trust Him to recompense them for bringing trouble into your life.
