THE MUSIC OF THE PSALMS

THE MUSIC OF THE PSALMS

The Book of Psalms is the hymnal of ancient Israel. Psalms are ancient lyrics preserved with occasional musical notations. Most of these musical notations are found in the superscriptions or titles. For instance, many are directed “To the Chief Musician” (Ps.31). Others call for musical accompaniment. For example, Ps. 4 calls for stringed instruments, Ps. 5 for flutes, Ps. 6 for the eight-stringed harp, and Ps. 8 for the instrument of Gath. The titles… Continue

GOD MUST HAVE CLEAN VESSELS

"God doesn't seek for golden vessels, and does not ask for silver ones, but He must have clean ones." - D.L. Moody

"God can use only clean or holy vessels...God cannot bestow His glory upon anything evil or tainted. The Christian life demands unswerving obedience and allegiance to Christ. It places responsibility upon each believer to maintain a pure, unpolluted life." - Holman Bible Commentary

"To be a vessel for honor, you must walk in the light, confessing all known sin to… Continue

Prayer That Gets Results

Prayer is probably one of the most misunderstood and potentially

frustrating topics because many people don't know how to get results

when they pray. The simplicity of prayer has been lost in many

people's lives and turned into a religious tradition that has a form

but no real power. Prayer is not meant to be a burden or to be used

as a badge of holiness. Instead, it is a gift from God that, when

used properly,… Continue

I LOVE the Lord. And I could not or want to live without Him in my life. Been born and raised in the church, but I left it for a while in my late teens and 20's.

Been blessed, and I found my way home. And He has never let me down, but I know I've let him down at times.

This way is not a easy way, but a wonderful life with God is my light and love.

In these last days we need to hold on and keep a grip on the ropes and keep, keepin on with God.

I pray the Lord… Continue

What is Needed..............

......................

.I want to begin today by using a scripture from the old testament...............and then by going to some detail as to why Jesus not only had to come to earth but also hopefully to explain as to why He had to die according to the will of God.

Many times someone will reference a scripture from the old testament in defense of their posistion of trying to keep the laws of Moses..........but rarely if ever have I… Continue

HOW CAN THERE BE AN IGNORANT HOLINESS?

"A good man does not ask what is the way in which he must walk, or in which is the most pleasant walking, but what is the right way, the way in which he should walk."

"The way of religion (Christianity) and godliness is a good old way, the way that all the saints in all ages have walked in." - both quotes are from Matthew Henry

"We cannot at all times discern the path of duty, and at such times it is our wisdom to apply to the Lord Himself."

"Father, first tell… Continue

(Matthew 7:21-23 … JESUS is speaking.)

“Not everyone who says to ME, ‘Lord, Lord,’

will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of

2. and in Your Name drive out demons

SONG

Psalm 137:1-2 By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down; yea, we wept when we remembered Zion, - We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.

LET YOUR WATERS FLOW FREE

Let Your waters flow free. Let Your waves wash around me.

In a pure crystal stream, let Your waters flow free.

By Sins rivers I sat and wept in remembrance

Of wasted nights and of days spent so worthlessly

There's a shadow that falls o'er the banks of the… Continue

I believe that He’s here now,

Standing in our midst.

On Good Friday I went to Calvary Temple for Service. Then Friday night I went back to Calvary Temple for The Easter production. When I came home that evening this is the song that came to me when I walked in the door.

He is Lord,

He is Lord,

He is risen from the dead,

And He is Lord,

Every knee shall bow,

Every tong confess that Jesus Christ Is Lord.

I love it when the Lord does that to me. He reminds me that He… Continue

If you never felt pain, then how would you know that I'm a Healer?

If you never went through difficulties, how would you know that I'm a Deliverer?

If you never had a trial, how could you call yourself an overcomer?

If you never felt sadness, how would you know that I'm a Comforter?

If you never made a mistake, how would you know that I'm forgiving?

Please Pray For Pastor Dave

Dear All,

Monday a pastor will go on trial for what amounts to nothing less than an attack on his freedoms of religion and speech. A link to the full story is below. I would like to up-date you on the situation.

Pastor Dave's first attorney was recently replaced with a new one. I had the honor of speaking with his new attorney, Jeff Livingston. In speaking of Pastor Dave's case, he said, "If he's found guilty, it will be a mistake." He also said that he is working "to… Continue
