1 Samuel
17:34-37
And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and
there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:
And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of
his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard,
and smote him, and slew him. Thy servant slew both the lion and the
bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them,
seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. David said
moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion,
and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand
of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be
with thee.
1 Kings
17:10-16
So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of
the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks:
and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little
water in a vessel, that I may drink. And as she was going to fetch
it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of
bread in thine hand. And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I
have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little
oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may
go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.
And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said:
but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and
after make for thee and for thy son. For thus saith the LORD God of
Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse
of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the
earth. And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and
she, and he, and her house, did eat many days. And the barrel of
meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to
the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.
Psalms 118:6
The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto
me?
Psalms 118:9 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence
in princes.
Proverbs 21:31
The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of
the LORD.
Jeremiah
31:32-34
Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the
day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of
Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto
them, saith the LORD: But this shall be the covenant that I will
make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I
will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their
hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And
they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his
brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from
the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I
will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no
more.
Matthew
14:24-31
But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves:
for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night
Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples
saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a
spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake
unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. And
Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto
thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down
out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when
he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink,
he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched
forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little
faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
Matthew
15:21-28
Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and
Sidon. And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts,
and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of
David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. But he
answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him,
saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. But he answered and
said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he
answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and
to cast it to dogs. And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of
the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. Then Jesus
answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto
thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that
very hour.
Matthew 17:20
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I
say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall
say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall
remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Matthew
21:18-18
Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered. And
when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing
thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on
thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered
away. And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How
soon is the fig tree withered away! Jesus answered and said unto
them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye
shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if
ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast
into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall
ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Mark 9:23
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible
to him that believeth.
Luke 7:1-10
Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the
people, he entered into Capernaum. And a certain centurion's
servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die. And
when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews,
beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant. And when
they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he
was worthy for whom he should do this: For he loveth our nation,
and he hath built us a synagogue. Then Jesus went with them. And
when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends
to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not
worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof: Wherefore neither
thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and
my servant shall be healed. For I also am a man set under
authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he
goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do
this, and he doeth it. When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled
at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that
followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no,
not in Israel. And they that were sent, returning to the house,
found the servant whole that had been sick.
Luke 8:22-25
Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with
his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other
side of the lake. And they launched forth. But as they sailed he
fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and
they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. And they came to
him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he
arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they
ceased, and there was a calm. And he said unto them, Where is your
faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What
manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water,
and they obey him.
Luke 17:5-6
And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. And the
Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say
unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be
thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
John 4:46-53
So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water
wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at
Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into
Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come
down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death. Then said
Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not
believe. The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child
die. Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man
believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his
way. And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told
him, saying, Thy son liveth. Then enquired he of them the hour when
he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh
hour the fever left him. So the father knew that it was at the same
hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself
believed, and his whole house.
Acts 27:23-26
For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and
whom I serve, Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before
Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.
Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall
be even as it was told me. Howbeit we must be cast upon a certain
island.
Romans 1:17
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to
faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Romans 9:30-33
What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after
righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the
righteousness which is of faith. But Israel, which followed after
the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of
righteousness. Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but
as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that
stumblingstone; As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a
stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him
shall not be ashamed.
Romans 16:25-26
Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel,
and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of
the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now
is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according
to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all
nations for the obedience of faith:
2 Corinthians
4:13-14
We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I
believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and
therefore speak; Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus
shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.
2 Corinthians
5:6-10
Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at
home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by
faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather
to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be
accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of
Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body,
according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Galatians
2:20-21
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but
Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I
live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself
for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness
come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
Galatians 5:5-6
For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by
faith. For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing,
nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
Galatians
5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such
there is no law.
1 Thessalonians
5:8
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the
breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of
salvation.
1 Timothy 5:8
But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his
own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an
infidel.
Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of
things not seen.
James 1:2-3
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
James 2:14-20
What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith,
and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be
naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them,
Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give
them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it
profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy
faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils
also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that
faith without works is dead?
1 John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the
victory that overcometh the world, even our
faith.
