Jeremiah 7:6
1 Corinthians
15:33
Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good
manners.
1 Corinthians
16:13-14
Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
Let all your things be done with charity.
1 Corinthians
16:20
All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with an holy
kiss.
1 Corinthians
16:22
If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema
Maranatha.
2 Corinthians
2:1-5
But I determined this with myself, that I would not come again to
you in heaviness. For if I make you sorry, who is he then that
maketh me glad, but the same which is made sorry by me? And I wrote
this same unto you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from
them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that
my joy is the joy of you all. For out of much affliction and
anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye
should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have
more abundantly unto you. But if any have caused grief, he hath not
grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you
all.
2 Corinthians
3:1-3
Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others,
epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from
you? Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of
all men: Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle
of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the
Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy
tables of the heart.
2 Corinthians
4:1-3
Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy,
we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty,
not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God
deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves
to every man's conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be
hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
2 Corinthians
4:6-11
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath
shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the
glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure
in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God,
and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed;
we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken;
cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the
dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made
manifest in our body. For we which live are alway delivered unto
death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made
manifest in our mortal flesh.
2 Corinthians
6:1-10
We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye
receive not the grace of God in vain. (For he saith, I have heard
thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I
succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is
the day of salvation.) Giving no offence in any thing, that the
ministry be not blamed: But in all things approving ourselves as
the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in
necessities, in distresses, In stripes, in imprisonments, in
tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings; By pureness, by
knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by
love unfeigned, By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the
armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, By
honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers,
and yet true; As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and,
behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed; As sorrowful, yet
alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing,
and yet possessing all things.
2 Corinthians
6:17-18
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the
Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And
will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters,
saith the Lord Almighty.
2 Corinthians
7:1-2
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse
ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting
holiness in the fear of God. Receive us; we have wronged no man, we
have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no
man.
2 Corinthians
8:1-9
Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed
on the churches of Macedonia; How that in a great trial of
affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty
abounded unto the riches of their liberality. For to their power, I
bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of
themselves; Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the
gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the
saints. And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their
own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God. Insomuch
that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also
finish in you the same grace also. Therefore, as ye abound in every
thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all
diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace
also. I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the
forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love. For
ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was
rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his
poverty might be rich.
2 Corinthians
9:5-15
Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they
would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty,
whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a
matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness. But this I say, He
which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which
soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according
as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or
of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to
make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all
sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: (As it is
written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his
righteousness remaineth for ever. Now he that ministereth seed to
the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed
sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) Being
enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through
us thanksgiving to God. For the administration of this service not
only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many
thanksgivings unto God; Whiles by the experiment of this
ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto
the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them,
and unto all men; And by their prayer for you, which long after you
for the exceeding grace of God in you. Thanks be unto God for his
unspeakable gift.
2 Corinthians
10:17-18
But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. For not he that
commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord
commendeth.
2 Corinthians
12:14-21
Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be
burdensome to you: for I seek not yours but you: for the children
ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the
children. And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though
the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved. But be it so,
I did not burden you: nevertheless, being crafty, I caught you with
guile. Did I make a gain of you by any of them whom I sent unto
you? I desired Titus, and with him I sent a brother. Did Titus make
a gain of you? walked we not in the same spirit? walked we not in
the same steps? Again, think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you?
we speak before God in Christ: but we do all things, dearly
beloved, for your edifying. For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall
not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you
such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths,
strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults: And lest,
when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I
shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented
of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they
have committed.
2 Corinthians
13:5-12
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own
selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in
you, except ye be reprobates? But I trust that ye shall know that
we are not reprobates. Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not
that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is
honest, though we be as reprobates. For we can do nothing against
the truth, but for the truth. For we are glad, when we are weak,
and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection.
Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I
should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath
given me to edification, and not to destruction. Finally, brethren,
farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in
peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. Greet one
another with an holy kiss.
Galatians
4:17-19
They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude
you, that ye might affect them. But it is good to be zealously
affected always in a good thing, and not only when I am present
with you. My little children, of whom I travail in birth again
until Christ be formed in you,
Galatians
5:13-26
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not
liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one
another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this;
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. But if ye bite and devour
one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. This
I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of
the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit
against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so
that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the
Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are
manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness,
lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations,
wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness,
revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I
have also told you in time past, that they which do such things
shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit
is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that
are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and
lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another,
envying one another.
Galatians
6:2
Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of
Christ.
Galatians
6:9-10
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall
reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do
good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of
faith.
Ephesians
3:16-20
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to
be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That
Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and
grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is
the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the
love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled
with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do
exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to
the power that worketh in us,
Ephesians
4:1-3
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk
worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness
and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of
peace.
Ephesians
4:13-16
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of
the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature
of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children,
tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine,
by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in
wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into
him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the
whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every
joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure
of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of
itself in love.
Ephesians
4:25-28
Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his
neighbour: for we are members one of another. Be ye angry, and sin
not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to
the devil. Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him
labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may
have to give to him that needeth. Let no corrupt communication
proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of
edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve
not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of
redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour,
and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye
kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as
God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Ephesians
5:1-5
Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in
love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us
an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. But
fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be
once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor
foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather
giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor
unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any
inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of
God.
Ephesians
5:8
For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord:
walk as children of light:
Ephesians
5:11-25
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but
rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those
things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are
reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make
manifest is light. Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest,
and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then
that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming
the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise,
but understanding what the will of the Lord is. And be not drunk
with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks
always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our
Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear
of God. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto
the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ
is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be
to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives,
even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for
it;
Ephesians
5:28-33
So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that
loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own
flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the
church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his
bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and
shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the
church. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his
wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her
husband.
Ephesians
6:1-18
Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour
thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the
earth. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but
bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Servants,
be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh,
with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto
Christ; Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of
Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; With good will doing
service, as to the Lord, and not to men: Knowing that whatsoever
good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord,
whether he be bond or free. And, ye masters, do the same things
unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is
in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him. Finally,
my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand
against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh
and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the
rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness
in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God,
that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done
all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with
truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your
feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all,
taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench
all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of
salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and
watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all
saints;
Philippians
2:15
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without
rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom
ye shine as lights in the world;
Philippians
3:13-14
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one
thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching
forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark
for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ
Jesus.
Colossians
3:2
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the
earth.
Colossians
3:5-6
Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth;
fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence,
and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the
wrath of God cometh on the children of
disobedience:
Colossians
3:8-23
But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy,
filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another,
seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have
put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image
of him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew,
circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor
free: but Christ is all, and in all. Put on therefore, as the elect
of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness
of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and
forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even
as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things
put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace
of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one
body; and be ye thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you
richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in
psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your
hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in
the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by
him. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit
in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against
them. Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well
pleasing unto the Lord. Fathers, provoke not your children to
anger, lest they be discouraged. Servants, obey in all things your
masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as
menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God; And
whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto
men;
1 Thessalonians
4:9-12
But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you:
for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another. And indeed
ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we
beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more; And that ye
study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with
your own hands, as we commanded you; That ye may walk honestly
toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of
nothing.
1 Thessalonians
5:2-8
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as
a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety;
then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman
with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in
darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all
the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of
the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do
others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in
the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But
let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of
faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of
salvation.
1 Thessalonians
5:11-22
Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even
as also ye do. And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which
labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;
And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And
be at peace among yourselves. Now we exhort you, brethren, warn
them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak,
be patient toward all men. See that none render evil for evil unto
any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves,
and to all men. Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every
thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus
concerning you. Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings.
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all
appearance of evil.
2 Thessalonians
3:6-9
Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh
disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not
ourselves disorderly among you; Neither did we eat any man's bread
for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that
we might not be chargeable to any of you: Not because we have not
power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow
us.
2 Thessalonians
3:11-15
For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly,
working not at all, but are busybodies. Now them that are such we
command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness
they work, and eat their own bread. But ye, brethren, be not weary
in well doing. And if any man obey not our word by this epistle,
note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be
ashamed. Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a
brother.
1 Timothy
6:8
And having food and raiment let us be therewith
content.
Philemon
1:18
If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine
account;
Hebrews
2:17-18
Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his
brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in
things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of
the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he
is able to succour them that are tempted.
Hebrews
10:21-26
And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near
with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts
sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure
water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without
wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider
one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking
the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but
exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day
approaching. For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the
knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for
sins,
Hebrews
10:30-31
For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will
recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his
people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living
God.
Hebrews
12:1
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud
of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth
so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is
set before us,
Hebrews
12:28
Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have
grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly
fear:
Hebrews
13:1
Let brotherly love continue.
Hebrews
13:3
Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which
suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the
body.
Hebrews
13:5
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with
such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee,
nor forsake thee.
James
1:19-27
Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear,
slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the
righteousness of God. Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and
superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted
word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the
word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any
be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man
beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself,
and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he
was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and
continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of
the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. If any man among
you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but
deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. Pure religion
and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the
fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself
unspotted from the world.
James
2:8
If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt
love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
James
2:14-26
What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith,
and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be
naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them,
Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give
them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it
profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy
faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils
also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that
faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified
by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest
thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made
perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham
believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he
was called the Friend of God. Ye see then how that by works a man
is justified, and not by faith only. Likewise also was not Rahab
the harlot justified by works, when she had received the
messengers, and had sent them out another way? For as the body
without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead
also.
James
4:4
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of
the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend
of the world is the enemy of God.
James
4:10-12
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you
up. Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil
of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law,
and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer
of the law, but a judge. There is one lawgiver, who is able to save
and to destroy: who art thou that judgest
another?
James
4:17
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him
it is sin.
1 Peter
2:1-3
Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies,
and envies, all evil speakings, As newborn babes, desire the
sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye
have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
1 Peter
4:7-9
But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and
watch unto prayer. And above all things have fervent charity among
yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Use
hospitality one to another without grudging.
1 John
1:5-7
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare
unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If
we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we
lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in
the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of
Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1 John
2:4-6
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a
liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in
him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are
in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to
walk, even as he walked.
1 John
2:9
He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in
darkness even until now.
1 John
2:15-17
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If
any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.6 For
all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of
the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of
the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he
that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
1 John
2:29
If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth
righteousness is born of him.
1 John
3:7-12
Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth
righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that
committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the
beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he
might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth
not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin,
because he is born of God. In this the children of God are
manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not
righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his
brother. For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning,
that we should love one another. Not as Cain, who was of that
wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him?
Because his own works were evil, and his brother's
righteous.
1 John
3:15-19
Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no
murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. Hereby perceive we the
love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to
lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoso hath this world's
good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels
of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My
little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in
deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and
shall assure our hearts before him.
1 John
4:7-11
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one
that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not
knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love
of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into
the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that
we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the
propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought
also to love one another.
1 John
4:19
We love him, because he first loved us.
3 John
1:7
Because that for his name's sake they went forth, taking nothing of
the Gentiles.
Jude
1:16
These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts;
and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons
in admiration because of advantage.
Revelation
21:27
And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth,
neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they
which are written in the Lamb's book of
life.
Revelation
22:10-15
And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this
book: for the time is at hand. He that is unjust, let him be unjust
still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that
is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let
him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is
with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am
Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right
to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the
city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and
murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a
lie.
