Dean who had a stroke 5 years ago fell and broke his hip.

The surgery went well but he is coughing so hard he had

a terrible time sleeping.  I am afraid he may get pnemonia.

Please pray for us.

Bethlehem's Cradle/ Calvary's Cross

Bethlehem's Cradle, Calvary's Cross
Did Mary know the price each would cost?
Announced by Angels, Rejected by men.
Gift of the ages, Heaven's Diadem.

Joy in the manger, Anguish on the cross
To save a world from sin and dross.
Christ in the manger, a gift of love,
Christ in the garden, sweating drops of blood.

A wooden cradle, A wooden cross.
Together they would redeem the lost.
One not complete without the other,
Both were required, sin's debt to cover.

The Christ of the Cradle, Is Calvary's Christ.
The sinner's Redemption,
The great Sacrifice
Over death victorious, forever free,
This is his legacy to you and to me.

It Wasn’t The Nails
 

It wasn't the nails that kept Jesus on the cross,
It wasn't the scourging or the thorns.
It wasn't the agony of Calvary's hill,
Or the weight of the cross that was borne.

It wasn't the taunts or the shame that He bore,
No, it wasn't any of these things.
It was Jesus doing his Father's will,
Dying, Salvation to bring.

It was Love beyond all understanding,
It was Grace offered to all mankind.
It was Peace such as the world could never give,
It was Mercy, which the world never could find.

For He is the Way, the Truth and the Life,
And He bought, with each step that He trod,
Redemption full and free to everyone,
Through Jesus Christ; The Gift of God

Tears.doc   This is a poem I wrote today  with deep meaning

 

Tears are the aroma of hearts broken in prayer

That reaches forth for a love pure to share

The heartaches of life that are O so real,

Find hope only in the love that our Savior reveals

 

Love O so pure free from the hurdles of sin

Encounter in Christ that which heartbreak reveals

For He giveth hope and in Him peace doth prevail

So water the alter with tears that find ultimate relief

 

There is no sorrow that He cannot undertake

There is no heartache that He cannot bring hope

So look to the Savior our Lord evermore

In Him there is purpose both now and evermore

 

Tears are the heartbreak of dreams that are lost

But hold on to the Savior

His dreams twill prevail

Hold tightly to faith never faulter in faith

For He ever guideth and leadeth aright

The Lord of Hope

 Do you know the depths of despair?

 My friend I have been all the way there

 Deep down in that fiery hellhole

 That sucks away your immortal soul

 No friends, no money and no hope for 

 tomorrow

 Completely lost and filled with sorrow

 Searching, searching for joy and hope

 Life would be better at the end of a rope

 Each day weighs heavily on ones heart

 No energy to give your spirit a start

 Life drags on forever it seems, so long

 You feel you should have been an eternity

 gone 

 When you have given up and no longer 

 care

 Look up friend and Jesus will meet you

 there

 He'll fill your heart with hope and love

 Give your life an Almighty shove

 Circumstances beyond description 

 you'll bare

 On your back without a care

 The love of our Lord will have carried

 you there

 Out of that place called despair

Lost and bewildered by life again

A TEAR OF LONGING

A child that sat beside me
A tear 'twas in her eye
A longing O so deep inside
Made me wonder why?

Has this longing e'r been met
Or does the longing still go on
Never knowing of Christ's love
And how it deeply works within

Jesus truly cares

He likewise sheds a tear for you
Longing that His love you would pursue
To know how deeply He doth care
And of His help and presence thus He longs to share

Come and with Him so abide
As He reaches forth to with you so reside
Giving forth of treasures true
Whereby you can likewise be renewed

Come and know me O soul in need
As I reach forth your soul to feed
To garner and to nurture you anew
That you would sparkle as the morning dew

Be refreshed and in My love abide
For I am ever by your side
Garnishing you with treasures true
As I reach forth to thus renew

Be not slack but enter in
Encounter all that I would do
The presence of the living God
Longs to reveal that He is true

So child of longing enter in
And know His love today
And thus experience His presence
That works within and daily does renew

O such love with me abide
'Tis truly O so awesome
And you too can so experience
The depth thereof

A SOUL IN SEEK OF LOVE

 

HOW FRAIL and FAULTY E'R WE BE,

STUMBLE HERE and YON,

ONLY LOVE and MERCY,

WILL CAUSE US TO SEE THE DAWN.

 

NO HOPE WITHIN ONES BEING,

BROKEN HURTS UNKNOWN TO MEN,

LOVE IS SHATTERED INTO PIECES,

HEARTBREAK IS ALL ONE FEELS.

 

WALLS OF FEARS and HEARTACHE,

BREAK FREEDOM OF THE SOUL,

O THE BINDS and HEARTBREAKS,

TO BE WITH JESUS...MY ONLY GOAL.

 

ALL I HAVE IS JESUS,

ONLY HIM I STILL UPHOLD,

HE ALONE INTACT BEFORE ME,

HEARTBREAK LEAVES ME COLD.

 

ALL THE ONES I LOVED and CARED FOR,

HOPE IS SHATTERED IN MY SOUL,

JUST TO KNOW THE LOVE OF JESUS,

THE HOPE OF EVERY SOUL.
