House Church Christian Social Networks is dedicated to the growing the house church movement and endeavors to provide house churches around the world.

The house church movement is not just to get away from the institutional church, but for Christians seeking to return to the small gatherings of peoples that constituted all of the churches of the New Testament era.

The emphasis at this Group is not to criticize the institutional church, but rather to lift up its alternative. Many house churches start among people who first meet in an institutional setting, and regular attendance at a good institutional church is encouraged as a source of Christian teaching.

The fellowship pictured in Mt. 18:20 is "two or three gathered together." Even "church growth" experts point out that an assembly larger than a mere dozen people creates an environment in which some of the people often back away from full participation.

If you live out side of the USA, like in United Kingdom. Please use the DISCUSSION FORUM or add a new page to the group for the nation you live in. Any help with setting up a world wide Church Directory would be a great help.

Many Christians have been infected with radical individualism.
They concentrate on personal obedience to Christ as if all that matters is "Jesus and me," but in doing so, miss the point altogether.
For Christianity is not a solitary belief system.
Any genuine resurgence of Christianity, as history demonstrates, depends on a reawakening and renewal of that which is the essence of the faith—that is, the people of God, the new society, the body of Christ, which is made manifest in the world—the church.
