Amen, Apostle Paul Johnson Asamoah. I totally agree with the statement you have written here. Let me tell you what has blessed my wife Leanna, yet share a little history.

My wife and I left a church that we helped with in many ways from it's birth, when the original pastors were called elsewhere, the new pastor brought with him, much darkness, greed, pride, etc.In January of this year, I knew that my wife and I were being called elsewhere, but had no idea where. I spent much time in prayer of where God would have us go and what I felt He said, to hold services here at our house and to let Him guide us. I had been leading Bible Studies for a number of years and because I only shared what God put on my heart, we had many coming and from other denominations from around our home town. I struggled with the idea of starting our own church for two months. Then the last straw was when the Pastor pulled the wool over the congregations eyes, on a new scheme of his. We gave our resignation notice of all our duties. The second we did this, such peace came over us. it felt like the world was taken off our shoulders.

The day before our first service, it snowed and I was put in contact with 4 families whom had been hurt from other congregations. This totally baffled me because I thought I would be sharing God's Word with brand new Christians. That was my plan. Since that time, The services have been very powerful. There has been much healing especially in hearts of those that have bottled up things all of their lives. Praise God I have been sharing sermon notes here and other Christian sites, including one that my wife and I have and also on secular sites. Again their have been hearts touched and I have been asked by numerous preachers if they could share my messages with their flock.

Where my wife are and what I share with others. Be in the word daily. Not because you feel you have to, but because you want to. I highly recommend families reading and studying together. Pray together as a family. As of recently, my wife and I take communion daily. Each morning before we start our day, we are in prayer and partake of communion. I would suggest that before others do this, is to make sure their hearts are right. Each Sunday, before take communion with the believers here at our house and those that join life on-line I urge them to prepare their hearts.

I'm not sure why I shared this, but I did.

May God bless you,

Jim

Freedom Creating Kind of Truth
When you know something down in your knower, it is then it produces freedom. When you read this next scripture pay attention pay close attention to “knowing” the truth.
(Joh 8:31) Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed. (Joh 8:32) And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

(Joh 8:36) If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

When you get into the Word of God, you must pay close attention to it to obey…
(Deu 28:1) And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth.
(Deu 28:2) And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

When you read the names of Jesus, one of them is the “Word.” Abiding in the Word of God is abiding in Jesus.
(Joh 1:1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

In my opinion, for believers one of the most important scriptures in the word is found in…
(Rom 10:17) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
You hear and keep on hearing the Word of God. That is what makes faith. It does not tell us that faith comes by having heard. It comes from “hearing.” We must continue hearing. It is then that the head knowledge will drop down in our hearts and we will then have “heart knowledge” which will become faith. If you will look again at John 8:31-32, you see that you must continue in His Word. Continue hearing it and hearing it and hearing it and then you shall know the freedom creating truth of the Word of God.
Continuing in Christ also means abide continually in Him and allowing Him in you.
(Joh 15:7) If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
When you abide in Him, you are walking in your salvation. You wash your mind in the Word of God daily. You pray in your language and in the Holy Ghost. You act on His promises.

In these lukewarm times in the Church, It is my considered opinion that it would do everyone good to have a detailed study of the book of Romans and the great doctrine of 'Justification by Faith' which is largely neglected and in many cases unknown these days. The 'easy believism',or 'instant sainthood' offered upon a mere 'pray this prayer after me' evangelism has flooded the church with spurious conversions and a host of 'professing' christians who are little to no different from the man in the street. Sadly, on the 'great and terrible day of the Lord', unless something dramatic happens in the ranks of the 'professing' church, scores will find they have been duped into a spurious christianity of man's making and not a work of the blessed Holy Spirit. We must get back to the old paths of righteousness. We must replace the ancient landmarks our forefathers established and which have largely been removed. So where better to begin than at the beginning. If the foundations are rotten the building will topple. If the foundations are firm the building will stand all the tests of time. Romans is solid foundation teaching. It must be both known and obeyed if we are to benefit from it personally. Why not start there?

Very well said, and very well explained brother John! Thanks for your truthful comment.

When considering which part of the Bible one must study, keep the following in mind:  The Old Testament in the mould through which the New Testament runs. Or, The New is in the old concealed, the Old is in the new revealed. It is impossible to correctly understand either the Old or the New Testaments in isolation. Another important point is as follows:  The Bible is its own interpreter. "Line upon line, precept upon precept". Isaiah 28v10. No doctrine (teaching) can be or ought to be based upon a single verse of scripture. The scriptures are harmonious. If you think you have got hold of an important teaching in the Bible, then it will be replicated throughout scripture.  If it is not, then be very suspicious.  The other absolutely vital aspect is this; 'Be filled with the Holy Spirit'. One of the major ministries of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer is to "Lead us and guide us into all truth". Be filled with Spirit, obedient to the Spirit and in reverent submission to the holy Word of God and you will not go very far wrong.

Either OT or NT is fine with me. I am starting a Bible study on Thursday nights here in Maine, where we will start in the book of Matthew. I have had many requests from those that have been following sermons I teach on. There are some that join from different parts of the world via Skype. Praise the Lord for the tools He has given us to reach the lost and teach those that are hungry for Him.

Jodie, I am excited to be involved in this new venture. Keep me posted on what the Lord puts on your heart on this.

May God richly bless you,

Jim
