What is Biblical Christian Counseling?

To all the Brothers and Sisters in Christ, we are glad to see you again, and we pray that the website will encourage you to become more Christ-like. Be not dishearted for the Lord cares for you, and bring God all your burdens and surrender your life to Him.

Biblical counseling is to encourage the downtrodden, provide comfort to them that are hurt and suffering through Christian Love base on the word of God. Who is Jesus Christ: His name shall be called wonderful, counselor, mighty God, everlasting father, Prince of peace.

Godly living and daily Bible reading is the keys to victory. Biblical counseling is applied in God’s authority, and it will be right to the point and direct. Counseling is not passive,  It is open and honest straightforward and almost to the point of being Blunt.

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me

Help us take time also to seek You in the quiet of our hearts, homes, and churches, for time with You, dear God, is our greatest treasure. I've learned that no matter what happens in my life, it will be better tomorrow. Because we always desire the will of God in our lives.

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. John 10:27,28

One cannot serve God and the "flesh" at the same time. It will sidetrack you from the most important issue; seeking and desiring God Almighty every moment of your life. The human spirit is empty, because we keep our attention on the things of the world. And forget that only GOD can fill an empty spirit, keep your eyes  on the finished work of Christ, and stand firm on the truth of God's word.

And it is the Spirit that beareth witness,

because the Spirit is truth."

 1 John 5:6

I am the way, the truth, and the life:

no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me

John 14:6

Once God has called a person through  "training", God's word has become the only foundation of their life. We need to take time to seek the Lord, in the quiet of our hearts, homes, and churches. Because time with the Lord is our greatest treasure. We are brothers and sisters in Christ, and must stay hidden in  Christ to keep our garments washed in His Holy Blood, untouchable by the lies and deceit of Satan.

Many do not recognize that satan uses people to distort God's word, and to set people up against each other. This is due to lack of wisdom and understanding concerning the the powers of darkness in the heavenly region, many Christians allow Satan to destroy their lives and their peace from God. Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities in the heavenly region.

Becoming more Christ-like is a changed from flesh to spirit, from worldliness to godliness, unholiness  to holiness, pride to humility, from self-esteem to esteeming others. Christ has come to set us free from slavery of the powers of darkness, and through discipline we may be partakers of His holiness. It takes discipline to produce a holy character. Holiness is not given to us like a gift; God is producing holiness in us!

Let your LIGHT so shine before man.

The truth of God's Words visible in your everyday life, read the Scripture verses again and again very slowly.

Think about how blessed we are to know the Lord and being able to walk with Him in good and bad times. Tell the Lord whats in your heart and Jesus will listen to all you have to say. He will begin to speak to you; through His word, in your heart, a vision, a dream or a song which pops up in your heart.

If you want to be distressed look within.

If you want to be defeated look back.

If you want to be distracted look around.

If you want to be dismayed look ahead.

If you want to be delivered look up!

How blessed we are when you present

God's plan of salvation to others.

How blessed we are because there is power

in bringing God's truth, to the people in darkness.

We have to become His servant through His Holy Spirit. Let the peace of God reign in our lives and saturate us completely. Only then will we truly be His brothers and sisters in Christ.

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! Isaiah 52:7

We need to go Gods Way, which is exactly the opposite than our own human thinking. Some of us can give advice because we have been there, but are not in such a situation right now. God allows us to help each other, we are all members of one body having different tasks.

CHRISTIAN COUNSELING

By John Piper

All persons long for something. Everyone desires, yearns, hopes, wants. Without desire there is no human action, and without action we die. So where there is human life there is desire.

We may define a person's values as that which he desires. Where one's treasure is, there will his heart be also. Or, to put it another way, what you deem valuable, you desire with your heart. What people desire, what they value, varies, and the degree of their desire varies; but one thing is constant, our happiness varies in direct proportion to the achievement or realization of our greatest values.

If I value being meek and tender-hearted, but habitually act in an arrogant and harsh way, I will feel guilty and unhappy. If I value very highly the praise of my peers, their criticism may be devastating to my contentment. But on the other hand, their commendation will make me jubilant. Our contentment or happiness is dependent on the fulfillment of our strongest desires or—what is the same thing—the realization of our greatest values.

This process of becoming more or less content through the realization of what you value can be described in terms of your self-image. The principle would be stated as follows: How you feel when you look at your life will be determined by whether you see it as a true reflection of your values. If you see ugliness when you value beauty, you will feel bad. If you see laziness when you value diligence you will feel bad; but if you see industriousness and rigor you will feel good. The intensity of how bad or good you feel will vary according to the greatness of the value and the degree of success or failure in realizing it. Thus, whether one has a positive or negative self-image will depend on whether or not he attains what he values.

Self-love may be defined in two ways in relation to such an understanding of human happiness. First, a person can be said to love himself if he is devoted to his own interest. You love yourself in this sense if you desire and strive for your own happiness. It follows from what I said above that all people love themselves in this sense. Since happiness is the fulfillment of one's desires, and all people desire, therefore all people long to be happy. As Pascal said in this 250th Pensee,

All men seek happiness without exception. They all aim at this goal however different the means they use to attain it. What makes those go to war and those bide at home is the same desire which both classes cherish, though the point of view varies. The will never makes the smallest move but with this as its goal. It is the motive of all actions of all men, even of those who contemplate suicide.

Continue to confess with your mouth the God is changing you from the inside out and you will be surprised how quickly it will become a reality. When it does give the testimony, because Satan is DEFEATED by the words of our testimonies.

So let us have more testimonies about God's greatness in outr lives.

One of our members need some help, here is the email the member sented me.

Frank

===================

Hello,

I'm writing to share a problem that I have not been able to gain the victory. I have a problem with paranoia, pride and anger. These problems have manifested themselves on my job. I have been on a team for 8 months with my very good friend. or at least she was a good friend. She told me about the position and then decided to apply herself. I have felt very concerned that I could not trust her.

I have not history of diagnosed paranoia but know that I am. My mother was extremely paranoid. I don't want to go to counsling because my health plan is also my job. I prayed about it and felt God was leading me to share with my friend that we may need to try and just be good team members for now and we can always pick up the personal friendship. She started crying and said she did not understand why we couldn't remain friends. So I agreed we could be friends just not discuss work. She started crying all over again. I was very surprised that we need to talk about work for her to feel good about our friendship. Everyone but me thinks she is an angel.

I am getting more and more paranoid by the second. I asked my friend years ago if she was saved because I always thought she was a works based faith. She trys very hard for everyone to like her. Buying gifts, etc. She finds ways to indirectly make her husband look bad by sharing his work history and she does it in a very "I'm an angel and he is taking advantage of me". They have been married for 25 years and she has been the primary support system all the time. When we became friends 10 years ago, it was the same story.

The source of my anger may be that this is my sister's life story. My friend reminds me very much of my sister and always has. All the christian radio sermons, scriptures I read seem to be warning me of insincere kindness. I feel my friend used me to bring me on board for my skill sets and is trying to gain favor on the team. I've forgotten to mention that she was not promoted to manager in her previous position with the same comapany.

I have tried to be kind to her in the same way as the other team members but that was one of the reasons she cried. I treat her like everyone else. I really don't want to be friends because I don't trust her but do want to show her the love of God. My teammates think I'm nutty and mean because of this relationship. I think I don't stand a chance on this team unless I resume my friendship with T. I'm so frustrated I'm ready to start looking for another job. I'm 53 and thought this is where I'd retire.

Work history: normally 5-6 years in a postition with promotions until 2007-8, conflict with subordinate and did not receive position expected although team had excellent performance for a SOW. Left the position for a demonstration project: strained relatons with director, economy tanked and I was laid off and the other 2 nurses found positions in the hospital. Keeping it in perspective, many other nurses were also laid off and the other nurses who were giving other positions, worked there for years. It took me 6 months to find a position with the state that was 1/2 the salary I previously and I needed to increase my income. Now I'm starting to climb out of the whole financially but still have a long way to go and I'm not sure how to make this position work.

Any Godly objective guidance you can provide will be so appreciated.

Hi Brethren,

I have a very simple question. How many Disciples Christ Jesus had? or Who was the Mother of Christ Jesus?

Are Disciples slaves or Sons?

Praying for you Sis,

Hear God's Voice: Tuning into God's Frequency

God is really speaking to us all the time. He created us so he could fellowship with us and enjoy our company. When Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden they enjoyed deep, intimate communion with God - until they sinned. Sin caused God's voice to go "out of tune" for them and for all of us ever since. But that is not God's desire; he would like to restore our "hearing" so we can have deep fellowship with him once again.

You know what a radio is like that is out of tune. Maybe when you turn it on there is nothing there except static. Maybe you can hear two or three stations at the same time. Or sometimes the signal is weak as you travel out of range of the station you want. A digital dial allows for more precision but when you have a manual dial you may have to fiddle back and forth for quite awhile to get your channel to come in strong and clear.

God's voice like a radio

Trying to hear God's voice is something like that radio. The signal is out there and it is strong and clear but you have to tune into it. You also have to tune out all the other signals or you will be listening to chaos and confusion. While there may be hundreds of choices in radio stations, within yourself there are three possible voices you can tune into: God's voice, your own voice, or Satan's voice from the demonic realm. It is of course very important to be able to tell the difference.

The truth is: you CAN tell the difference but it may take some fine tuning. Jesus said; "But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers." (John 10:2-5)

God Bless
