Christian social networking for Bible Study and Spiritual Growth.
A friend and I are having a discussion this morning about being a part of a social network site. They call it "gossipbook". My stand is anything can be used for good or evil.
When I first heard of internet, I learned of its potential for evil. However, there is potential for good too. I vowed then to always use the computer for good. Therefore in keeping with my vow, I like to be a blessing to people on any social network sitte that I am on.

Permalink Reply by Paul on September 12, 2012 at 7:39pm i think it could be said that any gathering of believers could be considered a "social event", in fact, most modern churches resemble more of a social club than a place to study scripture and seek deeper understanding of God's purpose and plan for us. For some of us, the internet is the only social interaction we have with other believers. This is the information age, and we now have instant access to the history and apologetics of most every Bible believing sect out there. These social networks can be the greatest evangelization tool in history of mankind,.. if,.. as Ranae said, we focus on using this medium for good purposes.

They encouraged me a lot to be able to see their pictures, and read their comments. I had to leave Facebook because of the interferences with too many adds. Adds that were contradictory to my faith in Jesus Christ. My oldest son told me he was leaving Facebook because of some problems he had with the site.
I believe we can have a social network geared toward Christianity and reaching souls for Christ. I found out that my cousin was on HolyPal.com I have gained some friends there. I have also gained friends and fellowship here.Facebook became a "gossip site," and I left for that reason. Give HolyPal.com a try if you still want another site that shares your beliefs.
